I have one more piece of exciting news! This January I'm going snow tubing with the youth group from KY! I am so so so excited. I just can't even wait =) I have always wanted to go snow tubing! Have any of you all ever been? Was it fun?

Well anyway hopefully I'll get back to my normal posting schedule soon...but if we do sell our house I will be so busy with packing, etc. I won't have time to post much =/

Snowed in

So yeah. The title pretty much describes the situation! We are stuck at my grandmas house because it snowed all night (and still is) so we aren't able to go be with my grandpa today =/ But the snow is gorgeous! Snow is just so magical looking to me. I just love the beauty of whiteness all over the place! It's like it covered the world in soft-white splendor! Snow is so magical =) God is so amazing.

....Sleigh bells ring-Are you listening
In the lane Snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,We're happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland....

....Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!!...

Sneak Peak

Ok so just thought I'd post an update real quick and some other things. MY GRANDPA MADE IT THROUGH THE SURGERY JUST FINE =D He still has to be in the hospital till Monday. Please pray for his recovery though. Me and my mom will be staying up here probably till Christmas. But anyway thought I'd just let you all know that. Also I'd just like to post the first two chapters to a book I'm writing right now. I'd love to know what you all think about it and I'd love if you all would comment with some feedback =)

Chapter 1

I sat up straight in bed, beads of sweat pouring down my face.  My eyes darted around the room in fear and my heart beat started to slow knowing that it was just a nightmare and I was just in the cottage.
“Another bad dream?” Verna called out.
I mopped away the sweat; my neck was hot and sticky and I hated my thick hair that stuck to my skin in a hot mess more than ever.
“They are nightmares Verna. Not dreams.” I said still trying to regain my normal breathing.
“Same difference.” She mumbled under her breath.
I huffed and rolled out of bed, “A fox got into the chicken pin last night again. You’re going to have to make a new fence.”
I moaned. Like I don’t have enough chores to do today.
“I’m going to go riding today.” I said curtly.
“Funny how you tell me what you’re doin’.” Verna said with a snort, “Last time I checked I’m the boss in this home.”
“You’re not my mom. I am my own boss.”
“Then why don’t you move your lazy carcass out of my house then!” Verna said spitting out her words, “You wouldn’t last two seconds in the real world without me.”
I looked at her with spite, “I think I’d last longer on this world without you!”
“Just go feed the chickens you lousy girl and I guess there’s no stopping’ you from ridin’. You’re as stubborn as a mule.” She said with an icy tone.
I rolled my eyes and pulled an old, dirty calico dress out of my trunk. It was so stained with dirt I couldn’t even see the original pattern, but I only had two dresses and the other one was just as bad.
“Make sure ya do your chores before you go ridin’ girl!’ Verna said before I stepped out the door, “I know you won’t leave those chickens out in danger, and you’ll feed the horses. But takin’ care of the animals is all I can get ya to do. Why don’t ya scrub the floors for once instead of leaving me with my old back to do it?” Verna complained.
My eyes flickered back at her, “Hazel loved the animals. So I’ll love them too.” I said and then I quickly ran out the door my heart breaking in two.
After I fixed the chicken coop, fed the chickens, fed the horses, and the rest of my unpleasant chores it was already late and the sun was already beginning to lighten. I headed for the small pasture with our horses and headed straight for my best friend- Valor. He had been my horse from when I was a young girl and even though I disliked Verna I always held thanks in my heart for her letting me keep Valor. If she had sold him I wouldn’t still be living with her. “Hey there Valor!” I cooed into his ears stroking his long silky mane. He was a beautiful horse. He might not me a purebred but he was a one-of-a-kind to me. He was tall and majestic and he served the role as my best friend so I didn’t care if he was limp and ugly – I would still love him. He was the only friend I ever had…besides Hazel of course. At the thought of her name I tucked my face into Valor’s mane and tried to keep my tears at bay. It had been two years since she was taken captive but it still hurt every day. Pain like that could never go away; and knowing-knowing that she could still be out there and me still sitting here made it all the worse. But there was no way I’d be able to find her. And if I tried I’d probably be crushed finding out that she was in fact-dead. No; I wouldn’t put myself through that. I’d gone over it a million times in my head- Not knowing was better than knowing. Hope once lingered in my heart, but it is gone now. I would never see my sister again. I just had to believe that she was dead. Gone forever; and that there was no way I could get her back. Hope is my enemy. Why hope for something that will never happen? It’s better for me to just shrink in the shadows and forget. Forget all the things those pirates did to me-did to my family.

Chapter 2

Two years earlier

I looked up at the clouds gathering in the sky and frowned- rain again. It seemed that all it did was rain and it put a dull, dark damper on Devinport. “Hazel!” I called out, “I think we should head home. It’s going to rain…again. And it’s getting dark anyway.”
Hazel’s head popped up from a berry bush a few feet ahead of me, “oh come on Kendra! Just a few minutes longer! I just got to load this basket full!” She said lifting her half full basket of berries up, her little eyes sparkled and her smile spread out from ear to ear.
I smiled down at her. She had the most beautiful smile and it always crept into my heart and filled it up with warmth.
“I know; I know! But we must head home. Didn’t you hear about that boy who got struck by lightning? They said they just found him laying there; hair stuck up a foot high and his clothes charred right off him!” I said with a smirk, “We couldn’t let this beautiful braid just get ruined like that now can we?” I said fingering her silky hair.
She giggled, “Oh Kendra. You with your tall tales!”
“Well we really can’t stay Hazel. Momma wouldn’t want us out here in this storm.”
Hazel rolled her eyes, “It hasn’t even started raining yet-“She said but was interrupted by a sudden outburst of drizzling rain.
I laughed at her shocked expression, “Come on now! I’ll race you to the cottage! Last one there is a rotten cabbage!”
Hazel giggled, “It’s a rotten egg!” She corrected.
I snorted, “I was trying to rhyme! Respect my choice of words. Besides rotten cabbages smell worse!” And then I took off on a run to the cottage, Hazel close at my heels.
A sudden feeling of caution entered my heart when we neared the village. It was quiet but in the distance I could hear noises- angry voices. I could hear Hazel’s nearing footsteps and heavy breaths behind me. “Hold up!” I whispered to her putting out my hand to stop her.
“What’s wrong? It’s raining harder. I’m already soaked! We need to hurry up and get to the cottage.”
“Something’s wrong.” I whispered.
“What?” Hazel said this time fear creeping into her voice. I turned around and grabbed her by the shoulders, “I’m sure it’s nothing serious.” I said with a smile on my face, “I’m sure it’s nothing; but I need to make sure! Okay!?!”
Hazel’s eyes met mine, “Okay.” She said.
“All right. Now stay with me and do what I say…and be quiet.” I let go of her and started in the direction for our cottage which was also the direction the sound was coming from. Before I stepped three feet Hazel grabbed the back of my cloak, “Kendra.” She whispered.
“Yes?” I whispered back keeping my eyes ahead of me.
“Promise me…promise me you won’t leave me.”
I swirled around, “Of course not!” I said quietly, “I’d never leave you.”
“Always and forever.” I said with a smile. She smiled her beautiful smile back at me.
We began walking forward-towards the voices. We didn’t make it far when we heard a scream. And then the whole village came alive. People ran down the dirt streets in alarm- screaming. Sounds of fighting sounded in the distance. We couldn’t see much; the rain pounding down around us. But the noises-the screams were awful. Hazel cried out in alarm from behind me and grabbed my hand. Her eyes were as big as saucers filled with fear. My heart squeezed and I looked ahead at the shadows scurrying through the streets. I took a few steps forward and tried to listen to what the people were shouting. I listened and I heard. It was only one word they screamed but it sent shivers through every bone of my body. My legs went numb with fear. One word.
I took in a deep breath and tried to recover from the shock. I had to be strong. I didn’t have time to stand here in a daze. I quickly grabbed Hazel’s arm, “Hazel!” I called out.
“Yes.” Her voice was so weak and quiet I could barely hear her.
“You are going to be fine.” I reassured her. “This is just like a game okay!?!”
 “Kendra it’s not a game it’s-“
“I don’t have time to argue Hazel!” I said firmly, “We are going to run okay!?!” Once I said that I realized how stupid of a plan it was to drag my sister up to the village being attacked by pirates. It was probably a bloodbath up there. I sucked in my breath; a sudden wave of nausea attacking me.
“Okay. Hazel I need you to do exactually what I say!” I was interrupted by an ear-splintering scream filling the air. I looked at the direction it was coming from but the sky was getting dark and the rain was heavy. I couldn’t see far ahead. I’ m running out of time.
I looked back down at Hazel. She looked as white as a sheet and her eyes were filled with terror that broke my heart. “Hazel,” I said again for she’d look at me in the eyes, “I need you to be brave. Okay!?!” She nodded her head. “You need to be strong. You are going to be just fine…we all are. Now you need to do what I say all right!?!” She nodded again, “I need you to get low down in this grass right here.” I pointed to the tall grass at our feet. Stay here and I’ll go get momma and pa.”
Hazel let out a sob, “No! No! You said you wouldn’t leave me!” She screamed. I quickly covered her mouth with my hands to muffle her voice. “Hazel. I love you; and this is the safest thing for you! I asked you to be brave. Now I need you to be more brave than you ever have been before.”
“I don’t have time for buts Hazel,” I said my voice cracking but I cleared my throat trying to stay strong for my sister. “You stay here. Be quiet. I’ll be back.”
She nodded this time; but tears silently fell down her cheeks.
Tears began to flow down mine and I prayed to God I’d see my sister again. “That’s a brave girl!” I said smiling; my salty tears flowing down.
“I’ve got to go get momma and pa now. I’ll be back.”
“You’ll be safer here.” She cried out.
“I’ll be back!”
I turned on my heels before I thought of staying there with Hazel. With all my heart I wanted to, but I had to get to my parents. I had to make sure they were safe.

I confess...

Ok so I thought this would be a fun post to do and I also thought it would be a cool linkup =) So if you want to I'd love for you all to linkup!

...Let the Unusualness begin...

So what I'm going to do is just like write a random list of normal unusual things about me! Well really confessions...Beware I am a very normal  unusual person and this is like really weird things that I do that I don't normally tell people I do! lol.

I confess that...

When I'm shopping I act like I'm in a movie or something (this is dumb and weird but I'm still like a little kid) and I walk around like I'm in undercover mode and when my brother's with me we like walk through the aisles like super agents and make retarded faces at each other and pretend that we are spying on my mom... (Yes i know I'm 15 and yes I know I act like I'm 5 =P )

I confess that when the nutcracker or Swan Lake starts playing on my Christmas station I dance around the house doing ballet like a moron.

I confess that when I make a good joke I just sit there thinking that it was the biggest accomplishment in my life! lol.

When I type super fast on the computer I feel like I'm some kind of genius hacker =P

I confess that I love animated Disney movies probably more than little kids do. Animated movies are amazing!

I admit that I think bow and arrows are so awesome and when I use one I feel like I'm Robin Hood or something.

I confess that I'm a total klutz and I can not wear heels or I'll fall flat on my face.

I confess that I've never had a tan in my life and I am very pale.

I confess that I'm the crankiest person in the universe in the mornings

I confess that I hate marine life because to be honest "The deep blue sea" and the terrors in the sea are the only things I'm terrified of!

I confess that I'm obsessed with accents and when I'm reading out loud to someone I usually tend to use a fake accent. And I also have this huge issue that when I hear someone talk with an accent I usually then talk with a fake one and it sounds like I'm mocking them when I'm really just wishing I could talk like them!

And I confess that I'm probably the weirdest person I know =) well that's all I'll post! I've already revealed to many embarrassing things =P Thanks for reading my randomness and please link up!

Winds of change

 To Taste Adventure

Lots has happened in my life lately and I just thought I'd tell you all all about it! But just a FYI- this is probably going to be a long post. LOL; so read at your own risk =P Ok; let's start of with the biggest news first.

Some of you already know this but most of you probably do not...

Yeah. And it's not just the moving in another house in our town moving- it's moving from GA to KY moving. So yeah. That's the big news. I guess your probably thinking that I'm not very happy about the change- I mean most people don't want to pick up, move, and start all over. I'm usually a anti-change person. Some one who hates change and always likes things to stay the way they are. But this time it's different. This time I want to move! In fact I'm rather excited. I have some friends up in KY that I've met over the last couple of months of visiting up there. In fact some of you might remember me doing a blog post awhile back about me going to NY on a mission's trip with a bunch of teens from the church we'll be going to in KY.
This is the first time I've ever really wanted to move. I've moved many times and was always very sad and upset about it. But this time I think it's the best decision.
While I'm excited about moving it will still be a very long and difficult process. That with all the work moving comes with and of course saying goodbye to dear friends. Thankfully I already have made some friends in KY and I can't wait to get involved with the church up there! They have a bus ministry that I will be able to help with and other kid's programs as well. I've always loved kids and never really had an opportunity to work a lot with them till now =) Please pray that our house sells though. It's been for sale for three months and we still haven't had a buyer... this has been very difficult since we were hoping to already be moved and settled in KY by now.

I have some more news and this one is very urgent and I ask that you all be praying with me for this! My grandpa has five blockages in his heart and he is going to have to have open-heart surgery. As many of you probably know this is a very serious surgery. PLEASE pray for him. Me and my mom are heading up to IN to be with him during the surgery and then to help him recover and we'll probably be up there for two weeks until Christmas.
Christmas will of course not be the same for us this year and I was a little depressed about it but I just pray that everything will work out for the good =) Christmas is about CHRIST and not about us and I need to keep my eyes on that! But I'm sure it'll still be a wonderful Christmas. God is always good, and we always have something to be thankful for.

Alright so I know that was a long post but you won't be having any more posts from me for awhile probably. While I'm in IN taking care of my grandpa I'll probably be too busy to post. We are not leaving till Monday though so I'll probably post tomorrow. But after that I most probably won't post for about a week or two!

Thank you guys for reading my blog and being such an encouragement to me. Please keep my grandpa in your prayers along with our house selling soon!

Humility and Pride

John 3:30 - He must increase, but I must decrease

In the world today almost everyone is talking about how we must have more "self-esteem" and telling us to "love yourself." I don't believe we should love ourselves. I'm not saying we should go around talking about how terrible we are. I believe that God has made each of us unique and you are special. But God was the one who made you that way.
The world we live in is so full of pride. I just heard that the word used the most this year on social sites was the word "selfie." People are just really obsessed with themselves. Pride causes so many problems. Pride causes fights- prideful people are never willing to admit they are wrong and they always try to push the blame on others. I know that I also fail at this. I think that we all are a little prideful and selfish sometimes.

Humility is one of the greatest character qualities.Humility isn't thinking less of yourself- it's thinking of yourself less. It's putting others before yourself- putting God before yourself. In order for God to have control in our life we must humble ourselves before him. We can't serve him the way he wants us to if we are proud. Prov.16:18 - Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
God made us who we are. All the good qualities in us came from him. In order to serve God, we must serve others, and most of the time serving others means putting our own selfish needs aside.
In order for God to take control in your life you need to give him the throne in your life. You must be willing to say "God you are number one. My will and my wants are not important compared to your will for my life! God won't be able to use you if you aren't willing to live and suffer for him.
We must be willing to put God and others first. The prideful person will say I want "my life; my way!" but we must say "My life; God's way" We must put our wants and our will for our lives aside and let God take over!

So much of what we do is based on humility or pride-that's everything. And you know we are more like Christ when we humble ourselves.
~Tim Tebow

James 4:6 - But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

1Peter 5:6 - Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time

If we survive

This book was fiction- but let me just tell you that this was probably the most thought-provoking and amazing book I've ever read! (besides the Bible of course)
It has so many things that just made me stop, stare at the page, and just think. When I first started the book I just thought that it was going to be an amazing, fast pace, on the edge off your seat adventure novel! And it was- my eyes were glued to the book and at the end of every chapter I wanted to read the next one. It was probably one of the most exciting, and suspenseful books I've read. But it was even more then that. I have no idea how the author did it but he made an amazing book full of action, adventure, and life lessons I'll never forget. This book really cast a light upon the beauty of life. It's about a group of teenagers on the run for their life- death is almost inevitable; but they will do anything to live another day. This book shows the values of: True character, True bravery, Selflessness, and just seeing the beauty of life. I promise you that if you read this book you'll see what I mean. It's like I was in the book with the characters- learning the things they were through there trails. You'll see how this book made me so much more thankful for the life I have. This book is TRULY amazing.

Amazon Description:

They came on a mission of mercy, but now they’re in a fight for their lives.
High schooler Will Peterson and three
friends journeyed to Central America to help rebuild a school. In a poor,
secluded mountain village, they won the hearts of the local people with their
energy and kindness.
But in one sudden moment, everything
went horribly wrong. A revolution swept the country. Now, guns and terror are
everywhere—and Americans are being targeted as the first to die.
Will and his friends have got to get
out fast. But streets full of killers . . .hills patrolled by armies . . . and
a jungle rife with danger stand between them and the border. Their one hope of
escape lies with a veteran warrior who has lost his faith and may betray them
at any moment. Their one dream is to reach freedom and safety and home.

My thoughts:

well I kind of already told you how much I love this book! lol; but I could go on and on about it forever. Another thing I really liked about it was that the author did an amazing job of weaving faith, hope, and God's love into the story. One of the main things in the book was the quote "Fear nothing, but pray about everything" and it was something that gave the main character (Will) a attitude of hope- he never gave up. He was still afraid but with God he overcome his fear. There isn't enough awesome things I could say about this book! The writer has an amazing writing style and I can not wait to read more books by him =) Let me give you all amazing advice - GET THIS BOOK NOW! You won't regret it ;)

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.  It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.  Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."
- Melody Beattie

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow! God bless you all.

All we need

The things you have in life- are they enough? Are you Happy-content? Are you thankful for what God has given to you or do you yearn for more?

Gen 3:1  Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Gen 3:2  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
Gen 3:3  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Gen 3:4  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Gen 3:5  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Gen 3:6  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
I would like to use the illustration of Adam and Eve in the garden as an example of "We always want more and the things we have in life are usually not enough for us...or so we think"

Adam and Eve had it all! I mean they lived in paradise! Everything was available to them- food, nature, animals, each other, and most importantly fellowship with God, but in a matter of seconds it all changed. Why? because they wanted more. It doesn't matter how much us humans have we'll always want more! For instance you see what fame and riches do to people- they always want more money, or more fame, etc. The human heart is never truly content. But with God's help we can be. I'd just like to share three steps to "being more thankful and content in life"

1) Get over what's wrong in your life and look at what you've got.
This is probably one of the biggest steps to being discontent. We forget what good things we have and focus on the things we don't have. For example Adam and Eve could eat any of the trees in the garden; I'm sure there were hundreds! But what did they focus on? They focused on what they didn't have- the one tree in the Garden they couldn't eat of. I mean God blessed them SO much. He said they could have everything besides the fruit of that one tree. But they weren't content with that- they focused on the one thing they didn't have and forgot all the things they did have. Don't focus on one thing you don't have guys! I know I do this SO many times. I get focused on things I want instead of things I have.

2) Don't stray away from God's word
Something else Adam and Eve did was forget what God had originally told them -And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And instead they listened to the lies Satan told them-  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Once you get out of God's word the world's pleasures will overcome you.
3) Focus on God not yourself
The third mistake Adam and Eve made was that they started to focus on what they wanted instead of what God wanted. Just know this and practice this and you'll be content, and thankful to God instead of always wanting more- God knows what we need and he will give us what we need; the devil knows what we want and he'll give us that until we've completely lost sight of God and get sucked up into the terrible things of the world. You see what we want isn't always what's best for us! What we want is usually selfish and will not be eternally valuable. But God takes care of us by giving us what we need.

The thing is guys- we are blessed so VERY much. God has supplied all our needs and more! I know that it's thanksgiving week and stuff but we shouldn't just thank God during Thanksgiving but throughout the year because God doesn't just bless us at Thanksgiving-he blesses us all year long! So let's thank him all year long!

thank you god

Animated movie geek

Yeah. The title pretty much covers what this post is about =P I'm like the weirdest person when it comes to animated movies! I think I like animated movies more then anyone I know and everyone I do know thing I'm still a little kid for liking them...which I kind of am so oh well =P Anyway I just thought I'd talk about my top 5 favorite animated movies (choosing five was a very hard task since I have about a hundred)

OK SO....

#1- Tangled

I LOVE THIS MOVIE. Like seriously-it's amazing. I mean I can't even begin to say how awesome it was. The plot, characters, humor, love's like perfect. Tangled is by the far the best Disney princess movie to me. When Brave came out last year I was so excited but was greatly disapointed =/ I loved the fact that it was based in Scotland and stuff but I feel they didn't do near as good as a job with Tangled. But I am so excited about Frozen!!! It looks awesome =D (BTW did anyone else notice that all the new princess movies have just been one word? Tangled,Brave, Frozen...) But anyway I really loved Flynn and Repunzel =) I think it's like the best love story!

OK; let's move on...

#2- Monsters University

怪獸大學 / Monsters University

Where do I begin? Monsters University was AWESOME! I expected it to be good but it was GREAT. cutest movie ever! SO hilarious. animation was so cool; Mike was SO cute =D Overall this movie was just so adorable, funny, and heartwarming! Gotta love the friendship between Mike & Sully. I love how this movie really went through the history of them. So totally awesome- a must see for anyone

#3- Rise of the Guardians

Rise of the Guardians

Ok so like I said it's really hard to pick my top favorites but rise of the guardians is definitly way up there =D Loved this movie. Before I watched it I thought it would be pretty dumb and not that awesome but I was so wrong! Loved Jack frost; he was so cool. This movie had good humor, and I just loved it.

#4- Anastasia

I used to watch this movie every time I went to my grandmas house. Lol it's still one of my favorite movies.

Ok this is a no-brainer for me! LOL; I've loved this movie since I was a little girl =D I've like seen this movie a million times. I loved the characters, loved the plot (I've always loved the story about Anastasia and even though this isn't exactly historically correct I loved the twist on the story)

#5- Quest for Camelot

Quest for Camelot

This one is a old favorite too! But I really love this movie. Love the characters to death, the plot was fun and exciting. I loved the soundtrack to this movie and it had all the characteristics of a great animated movie. Even though it's old and the animated isn't "modern" it still is a great movie.

OK so I only had a ton of other animated movies I love like: Bolt, Despicable me, Up,.....The list goes on and on but I'll stop at five =D

Just thought I'd add this totally cool fan art thing
 I would watch this movie

and if you haven't already please read my friend Hope's guest post =D

Keep shining bright

Guest post

I would like to introduce to you an amazing friend of mine! She's been such an encouragement and inspiration to me over the years and I think she will be to you guys too today!

Hey, I’m Hope. I’m 15, I’m loved and beautifully forgiven by my best friend, God, and I get to be close friends with one of the sweetest girls on earth, yep you guessed it, your blogger friend Brittney. I’m so glad she asked me to do a guest post on here. I thought I would just share a few things that have been on my mind lately. Knowing me..well, this might just get a little lengthy, I tend to get carried away when I start talking about my spiritual life, always so much to learn.

Recently, I flipped through my bible and came across Lamentations. I had never actually read it and I didn't really know what it was about. I mean all I knew is that It was some sad book in the middle of the bible that's really hard to find.
But I read it. Starting at chapter one..all the way through. It really wasn't as confusing as I thought it was, I actually got carried away and lost in the “story” of what was happening to Israel.
Basically, the writer gives all these comparisons to what Israel was like, how she was “feeling” you could say. In detail it described the hopeless state of the country and the pain and hurt it was going through. Even though this was describing a country, I could relate so well. In verse 17 and 18 it says “And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgot prosperity. And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the Lord”
Often life can become crazy. And it seems like nothing is peaceful, nothing is the way it used to be, everything is a huge wreck and you feel so weak and tired of it all.

I honestly don't know hardly any of you who are reading this. I don't know where you are in life. What type of trials you're going through. What kind of pain you're dealing with right now. But never forget that God is using what you are going through to bring something good about in your life. And i’m not just sitting here telling you this in ignorance of how it feels to go through something hard. It’s not easy now, but as you go through this hard time, remember that God is doing something amazing. God is doing something beautiful in your life, whether you can see it right now or not.

When you feel like everything is falling apart, God is usually putting it back together

Not only is God at work in your life, he is there for you in the good times and the bad. He is constant. Lamentations 3 draws attention to this in such an impacting way:

But this I call to mind,  and therefore I have hope:
This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's
mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my
portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a
man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. It is
good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. He sitteth alone and
keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him. He putteth his mouth
in the dust; if so be there may be hope. He giveth his cheek to him that
smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach. For the Lord will not cast off for
ever: But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to
the multitude of his mercies.

Okay, if you just scanned over those verses not really paying attention to what you read, why do you go back right now and reread it..and this time really soak it all in.
These verses are amazing. Never forget that God is a loving and caring God who is never going to let you go. He will help through your worst day and biggest trial.
When I read these I was having one of those “every hard circumstance floods your mind all at once” kind of just made me stop and think, when I start to feel overwhelmed by these kind of days, I can recall the fact that God is faithful and his mercies never fail, therefore I can have hope. I can have peace(like the feeling when you're walking along the ocean as the sun sets, the wind blowing in your face, wading in the water..with none of life's worries in your mind), and trust God.

Trusting God doesn't mean we never have questions, doubts, or fears. We can’t shut down our normal human reactions to harsh circumstances. But trusting God means that in spite of our questions, doubts, and fears, we continue to count on two facts: God is always in control, and God always cares.

Through the chaos, spend time with God  “walking on the beach” so to speak. God wants to do amazing things in you through every circumstance you face. So why don’t you just stop trying to bear the hurt alone, and ask God to change you, grow you, and lead you on an amazing journey of awesome faith.
