The price was high

You were bought with a price.

So I  thought I was way over due on posting a devotional on here so I figured I might as well search Pinterest for some inspirational quotes when I found this and thought it was very good^.

1 Corinthians 6:20 - For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

We were all bought for a price...a very high price! God gave his life for you and me! He didn't have to-he could have easily gotten himself off that cross but he didn't. He bore the pain, the sin, and the suffering. The thing that hurts me the most about Christ's crucifixion is that Jesus did that for us even though he knew we'd fail him. Even though he knew people wouldn't accept him into their hearts, even though he knew people would mock him....he still did it. We fail God every day. Not a day goes by we don't make some mistake...but Jesus' blood covered all of that!
Christ DIED for YOU. The least WE can do is LIVE for him.
That's all God wants from us. He just wants us to give our lives to him. Yes, he knows you'll fail-but he'll be right there for us to pick us back up!
God's love is so amazing. Some people say whats so amazing that God died for all of us? People die all the time in war protecting their friends and families. God's love is so much more amazing because he didn't just die for his friends and family...he died for the people who treat him as an enemy! He died for the atheist who openly mocks him, he died for the Christian who is too ashamed to tell others about him, he died for the Muslim who is blinded by the wrong religion.
HE died for ALL of us! And he knew before hand that so many people would reject and fail him....but he did it anyway!
Today...and always really....I challenge you to LIVE for God because he DIED for you. I challenge you to NEVER FORGET that you were bought with a price.

See my Jesus on the cross, the people crying.
Looking on the man and think; that's such a tragedy.
But what the world could not see,
Was when they nailed him to that tree;
He broke the chains of sin and set them free.

Love grew where the blood fell,
Flowers of hope sprang up for men in misery.
Sin died where the blood fell,
Oh I'm so glad his precious blood covers me.

Thorns of violence, thorns of hate were growing wildly.
All the pain that sin had cost,
You know it was so very plain to see.
But when the blood came streaming down the cross
Where my Savior bled and died.
It broke the chains of sin and set me free.

Keep shining Bright
